Dive into the Splash Zone: Shark Tank Bangladesh Episode 3 Recap

Ahoy, fellow entrepreneurs and enthusiasts! Episode 3 of Shark Tank Bangladesh hit the screens this weekend, and boy, did it bring the heat! We witnessed the debut of three new sharks, Sausan and Faatin, adding a refreshing splash of diversity to the tank. And let’s not forget about Kazi, stepping into the arena with his stellar resume. But more on that later.

Now, let’s dive right into the tank and explore the latest ventures seeking to make waves:

English Champ:
First up, we had English Champ, determined to make a splash in the education sector. With a captivating pitch and a noble cause, they had the sharks hooked from the start. The sharks were impressed by their vision but had some reservations about the valuation. After some fantastic negotiations, a deal was struck, making waves with an investment of 20 lacs BDT for an 18% equity stake.

Egi Bazar:
Next in the tank was Egi Bazar, aiming to alleviate hunger and empower communities. While the sharks admired the noble mission, concerns about the business model led them to opt-out. Nevertheless, Sami pledged support by connecting the entrepreneur with opportunities for government grants, ensuring the noble cause stays afloat.

Parkway Furniture:
Making a stylish entrance, Parkway Furniture showcased its trendy yet affordable designs. With quality at the forefront, the sharks were intrigued. After a collaborative effort from Sausan and Faatin, Parkway secured a deal of 30 lacs BDT for an 18% stake, along with additional perks to elevate their journey.

Ostad:
Ostad, with its innovative Edtech platform, impressed the sharks despite a steep valuation. Intense negotiations led to a groundbreaking deal—the largest investment in Shark Tank Bangladesh history. Investors will receive 6% equity for a 1 crore investment. Each investor will get a share from 1.52%, with the remaining 4.48% distributed proportionally among them as advisory shares: Sami Ahmed (2%), Fahim Mashroor (2%), and Kazi Mahboob (2%).

And there you have it, folks! Episode 3 left us on the edge of our seats, eager to see these ventures flourish. Head over to Bongo to catch all the action and witness the entrepreneurial spirit in full swing. Until next time, keep swimming against the current and making waves of your own!
