Started its engines in March 2022 with a whopping BDT 500 crores in its kitty, Sami has been playing Captain Cool since 2022. As the MD and CEO, he’s been investing faster than you can say “Show me the money!”. In just 2.5 years, he’s generously hooked up 35 companies with his funds and he’s got his savvy eyes on 12 more. Oh, and did I mention the amount? We’re talking about a mind-boggling 100 crores!
I tell you, Sami’s a man on a mission – transforming our startup scene faster than any make-over show. And why’s he the top dog for the job, you ask? This eagle-eyed entrepreneur isn’t your regular suit. Armed with a USA educated brain, a CSE degree, and a Masters in Development Studies from Bangladesh – he’s weaving tech and social development into one power-packed punch.
Our man chose to swap his cushy comfort in the States to rev-up Bangladesh’s economy. Now, that’s what I call patriotism (or insanity? You decide!).
So, what’s he scouting for? Companies that roll up their sleeves, ready to make a dent and create jobs. He’s got a soft spot for tech and tech-enabled companies and if you’ve heard the whispers, he dreams of gifting our dear Bangladesh a fleet of 5 Unicorns in the next 5 years. Ambitious much? Totally! But do we need it? Heck, yeah!
